I just love the fonts on these old movie endings. I have such a love for old movies that they almost seem comforting to me. One of my recent favorites...Splendor in the Grass with Natalie Wood and Warren Beatty. It's such a powerful movie about the ideals of youth and has a great message in the end. Perfect for a rainy day or night!

Clever..clever post. Amazed you would of thought of this but then again why not. I so agree, the way they ended movies was so elegant. x
You are so right! These endings are fabulous. When did the movie industry stop using them? You should see the ones that Luchino Visconti uses at the end of his movies.

Oh me too, me too. I love these. Movies were so romantic and pretty back in the day. Thanks for the reminder.
And thanks for stopping by my little blog. I'm so enjoying exploring yours.
Gosh... I forgot that's how it all ended. :)
Sorry I haven't stopped by lately... I am running way behind in my blog reading.
Health!
It's been a long while since I watched an old classic with one of these finishes. Will have to rent the Natalie Wood film you mentioned...next up on Netflix! XO
Very cool!!! back in the days that movies did that...
These are great, love that last one, as I usually watch these types of films late at night in bed! Your blog title? Simple Pleasures? Do I have it right? So pretty, everything!
Oh aren't these lovely? Thanks for your sweet comments! :D XXX
I've never thought about the font choices, but you're right, they all are unique. I also love older movies and am always thrilled when I find a great one. I'll have to watch Splendor in the Grass. If you haven't seen The Apartment with Jack Lemmon and Shirley MacClain, I have a feeling you might like it.
Great post!
These are just wonderful. Wish I could identify which films these are from, but I'm not quite that good. Do tell!
