One thing I truly aspire to have one day is not only a beautiful home, but to have a home that looks as if it's a collection of my past and my travels. To fill a home with treasures that reflect a well traveled life, and each piece has thoughtfully been purchased in an exotic market and brought home as a reminder of a special experience. These rooms, in my opinion, reflect that idea.
(And don't ask me why but they all have a tint of blue! Ha!)

I love the tint of blue! it's is such a calming color. plus, I think it makes a room stand out.
Can't wait to fill my home with goodies from my (future) travels one day, too :)

I am in total agreement with your aspiration!
Loving the tint of blue by the way...
i love these rooms... I want to have a glass of wine with a good friend in each room. so good... I just love your blog!
Amazing! The wall color in the second photo is the most perfect shade of Tiffany box blue.
gorgeous, gorgeous rooms. i love the eclectic vibe...
kiwi and i try to pick up one item for our home on every trip we go on... he lugged a beautiful hand painted scroll all the way home from thailand without it getting damaged, that's the tricky part!
That is exactly how I feel about ones home too. That it should reflect their life experiences. Sometimes we get wound up on getting stuff to fill a space, but without history, the space has no soul.
I completely agree! There is so much to experience in this magnificent world, and I want to see all that I can. How lovely to think of having a space in your home to exhibit mementos from your travels, and to be able to reflect on a life well lived.
